The Origins of Optilineage: My Journey into SEO
Many people ask me how I got my start in SEO. While I often point to the agency I ran with my brother for four and a half years, the truth is that my journey began even earlier, in 2016.
The Twitch Foundation (2016)
Back in 2016, I was treating Twitch as a passion project. As I spent time building that channel, I began to notice patterns in how content was structured. I realized that creators were strategically placing specific words in their titles and descriptions to drive viewership.
More importantly, I learned the core principle of community growth: collaboration. I discovered that if you actively support others, they are far more likely to support you back. While I spent most of my time narrating over on-screen visuals rather than appearing on camera, the lessons I learned there became the foundation for my current marketing and business strategies.
The Shift to Professional SEO (2019)
Fast forward to the 2019 era—I was between jobs, looking for my next step, when my brother approached me with a project he had been building. He introduced me to the concept of on-page optimization.
I took that process and immediately ran with it. Within a 30 to 45-day span, we were able to double the value of the service and significantly improve the end-user experience.
Building Optilineage
That experience taught me how to deliver real, measurable results in the SEO space. I transitioned into managerial duties, performing consultations, conducting full audits, and joining the “execution squad” to ensure our link-building strategies were deployed correctly.
Every step of this journey—from my early days figuring out digital communities on Twitch to managing complex SEO campaigns—has led to where I am today with Optilineage.
If you are looking for help with your business management or your company’s digital presence, I’m here to help. Reach out to me at Optilineage, and let’s discuss your strategy for free.
